Early on, it was obvious how OldSpice was evolving into a spectacular humor brand. Recognizing this, we proposed leaning into this comedic edge online. "Yes," we acknowledged the need to sell new products, but who said we couldn’t do it with a side of giggles? 

And so, our grand plan was born: crack jokes, respond to fans, throw in some giveaways, and jump into the gossip pool with celebs and current events.

We established a monthly meeting of weirdos, and pitched ideas tirelessly. Which doubled our followers, nabbed us a shiny bronze pencil, and got OS buzzing on a few internet tubes. OldSpice wasn't just a brand anymore; it was a clever, funny, and engaging icon in the making!

cELEBRITY RESPONSES

Mindy Kaling mentioned Old Spice in a tweet, so naturally, we assumed the worst and didn’t want her male co-stars taking her favorite deodorant when she wasn’t looking. We responded by sending her and a few other showbiz celebs some custom deodorant covers to keep their treasured Old Spice safe from thieving hands. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

fAN RESPONSES

Every so often, we'd receive messages from our fans. Some posed bizarre questions, others scolded us for matters beyond our control, and daily they begged us for the return of Terry Crews. Among them, we chose to respond to the ones we could craft jokes around, and possibly not even answer their question at all.
